Loading Your Trailer at Point A

Moving Yourself with Help!

Moving is stressful! Especially when you're doing it yourself. Knowing that, there are still ways we can help and still things that can go wrong.

We can help by loading your truck/trailer for you at Point A, to be driven by you to Point B. During this type of move, understand that the responsibility of your goods is with RC MOVERS only during loading.

After we leave, the responsibility is on other parties. If furniture does get damaged while in transit, note that your household insurance may cover your furniture while on the road.

This is a small guide for the responsibilities of who is in charge and when. Contact us below for any questions during our scheduled office hours.

RC MOVERS

We are responsible for the proper packing of the goods to prevent damage during transit.
We are responsible that the truck/trailer is loaded safely and securely.
We are responsible for documenting the condition of furniture before loading (if necessary).

When RC MOVERS finishes loading your truck/trailer and we leave your property, it is no longer our responsibility as long as the goods were properly packed and can be proven among pictures or documents.

Person Driving the secondary vehicle (Not our Fleet)
Whoever is driving the vehicle to the destination is responsible to get the goods and vehicle safely transported from Point A to Point B.
Whoever is driving the vehicle to the destination is responsible to ensure the truck/trailer is driven carefully to avoid damage during transit.

When the driver leaves the property at Point A, it is now their responsibility to protect the belongings in the truck/trailer until it arrives at Point B. Between every bump or turn, something can shift and things can happen. Obviously, RC MOVERS does their very best to prevent these things from happening, whether it be loading a secondary truck/trailer (not our fleet) or our own truck/trailer. However, it is out of our hands what can happen on the road once you leave the property we loaded from.

Moving Company Who Unloads at Point B

The moving company unloading the goods at Point B is responsible for unloading the furniture carefully to prevent any damage.
The moving company unloading the goods at Point B is responsible for documenting the condition of the furniture upon arrival.

If the furniture was in good standing leaving Point A with RC MOVERS (as mentioned above), and has been damaged since arriving, it is legally out of RC MOVERS responsibility as it happened during transit or whilst unloading.
